Today, I want to share something fantastic with you! Do you know we live in the easiest and best times. Why? Because of our amazing technology. With web 2.0, social media and the growing demand of the internet we have it made. My favorite is social media and web 2.0 which gives us the ability to connect on a global scale easily and effortlessly. How would this site been possible if not for the amazing technology we have today.

Did you ever hear of times in our recorded history when you could create a cool video or advertisement about your products and services and broadcast it to the world for FREE? Multi national companies pay millions of dollars each year, employ marketing department, hire PR agencies to get their message out. All this to reach their target audience to buy their product and services. Today you can convey your mesage or promote your talent on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and so many fantastic social media sites that are emerging for *FREE. So is it good or GREAT?

Today is the only time when people have at times started business with no money or very little money and hve become millionaires leveraging the internet and these powerful tools we have. Earlier it would have taken generations to create the money and wealth people create today at such a fantasic speed.

Did you hear Frank Kern made $4 million in one day? Mark Zuckerberg, founder and creator of Facebook has become the youngest billionaire in less than 5 years of starting Facebook. Yes, a Billionaire with a ‘B’. All because he had an idea that would benefit millions and add value to their lives. Did he expect to become a billionaire so fast? I cannot read his mind, but isnt it inspiring to read his success story.

So if you have an idea, skill or talent you can promote yourself to the world with the technology we have today. Thanks to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and many others you can broadcast your message to the world for FREE.

So when you reflect on this, we live in the easiest times and it only gets better by the day. As we advance and our technology improves we have entered an empowered generation and era of human global connectedness.

So lets be very grteful today for the wonderful abundance we have all around us. There is absolutely no excuse for anyone today. Anyone can succeed if they are willing to take actions, add value to others, imagine some goals that will benefit them, their families and our world.

President Barrack Obama made a public declaration on 24th February 2009 that the future of our economy lies in the imagination of our entrepreneurs. If you are an entrepreneur then it is your birth right to imagine the best global economy for our world, our generation and for future generations. What kind of economic world would you like to live in? We already live in great times today, but there is always a next level up.

So what kind of business would you like to create that would serve you and others in a positive way? Would you like to have more financial security for your family? Give better education to your kids? Have a luxurious lifestyle, travel more, shop better, feast more and have lots of fun along the way? Then go for it. IMAGINE! Even this is FREE!

Social technology activity skyrockets in ‘08

Forrester’s 2008 Social Technologies Data shows something alarming: 75 percent of U.S. Internet users participate in social technology. This up from 56 percent in 2007.

Another interesting note is that actual amount of creators (people creating original content on the Web) grew slightly from 18-21 percent. So while there aren’t as many people making noise, there are more people listening.

Where is this growth coming from? Not the college-aged or 20-something crowd you’d expect. It’s the 35-44 year-old group. Activity is even up among the 45-54 year-olds.

If you’re not seriously investing in social media… this proves you should be.

How to Get Twitter Traffic To Your Blog

Over the last few weeks i have been investing a lot of time learning to better leverage Twitter.

The more and more I learn about Twitter the more valuable it becomes, and over the coming weeks I will be blogging alot about what I have discovered and why Twitter is one of the most powerful Social Media Sites on the Web today.

While I was doing my daily Twitter research I came across a Twitter post by Jim Yaghi, and he had just posted this awesome article about using twitter and your Blog together for great traffic increases.  Check it out : Jim’s Blog

For the past few weeks, I’ve had Google Analytics installed on this very blog to track how people are discovering it.

In the beginning, most visitors came in by directly entering the URL into their address bar. As it became more popular, referral traffic and search engines played a bigger role.

Over the past few days though, I noticed 500% spike of new visitors coming from Twitter.

Light bulb went on in my head of course. It occurred to me that the reason was a stupid little post I did a few days ago which had a picture of my crazy book shelf. For whatever reason, that was interesting enough that a few of my Twitter pals re-Tweeted to their pals who then discovered the blog.

Anyway, so I decided to ditch the other social bookmarking plugin I was using with wordpress and get another called TweetMeme. It’s pretty simple to install and activate and makes it easy for visitors to share on Twitter any of this blog’s posts. Simply genius.

Only thing I didn’t like was that it posted the little sharing box EITHER at the top or the bottom of a post but not both. I wanted it both at the top where it’s easy to spot…and at the bottom where it’s convenient to share a post when someone is done reading it.

So i jumped in to my wordpress plugin editor and modified it as I do with any plugin that needs minor tweaks to suit my uses. I was going to leave it at that…but I thought you guys might want to try to modify it on your blogs too.

• Save yourself the effort, just download the modified Tweetmeme from here .
• Upload to your wp-content/plugins directory.
• Activate the plugin.
• Click Settings on the left of your WordPress interface.
• Choose Before AND After option
• Save Changes

VIDEO MARKETING – Is it worth it?

In Jan 2007 I began using video as my major traffic and
lead generation source.

When I started very few people were using video to
drive traffic to lead capture pages to build an opt in list.

Infact, I was part of a very very small number of marketers
who had taken massive action with using video as a marketing tool.

When i say massive action I really mean I did a little more than
the average Joe when it comes to implementation.

My goal was to get a new video recorded and uploaded to about
35 different video social websites every day for the first 2 weeks.

Yes it was a heck of alot of work in the early days, but man it was worth it.
